Higher Folate Intake Linked to Reduced Alzheimer's Risk

Investigators at Columbia University Medical Center in New York have shown higher folate intake is associated with a decreased risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD).
In a large longitudinal study, investigators found folate intake was independently associated with lower AD risk in a cohort of subjects aged 65 or older who had a high prevalence of vascular risk factors.
